TrianaChica01.jpgThe popular neighborhood “Plaza Arica” holds a festivity called “La Tirana Chica” which has been taking place every year, since 1934. This event is held a week after July 16th. The religious dances come to the neighborhood and dance to the Virgin as a farewell act before leaving for the town of La Tirana. A week after that, they come back and dance to thank the Virgin for her care. This festivity is also celebrated in the city of Alto Hospicio. The dances also go to Plaza Arica on October 12th to celebrate the date in which the church was built in 1934.
